We’re talking about ants here. Who at this time

of the year are just about everywhere.

What had me curious was how they scurry

about on our wood deck railing.

They move fast as if on a mission. Then stop,

whip around and go back the way they’d come.

One thought came to mind. I was curious

how fast they move.

I have my stopwatch to help me come up

with an answer. Knowing working it out will be

the problem. Then again that’s life in the

proverbial nutshell.

I’m referring to jobs around the house. Or wherever

you live. I look and the obvious is obvious. My windows

need help. They’re dirty, grungy from a long, cold

winter.

Peer through them and it’s obvious cleaning them

would make the rest of the home loved.

My office with windows, built into cedar frames, look

out on the deck. I used to clean them with soap and

and water. Until I discovered a liquid cleaner. Spray on,

wipe off. That easy. And the job is done.

Author’s comment: I’m obviously slow at picking up  on

what make things easier. An electric toothbrush is

a good example. Or a light switch which turns itself on

when the darkness comes calling. And turns itself off

come morning .
