It's almost over.

3 weeks, 21 stages, 2 time trials.

Authors comment: In 2013, as we watched the tour wind down we decided to take a last minute trip.

We flew to Paris on Thursday and watched as the 100th edition wrapped on the beautiful Champs Elysses.

Thank goodness for the French.

Each year they put on this spectacle and we wouldn't miss it.

I'm glued to the TV these days watching the Tour de France

as I do every year at this time.

What I like most about is how you catch every moment

of the action. It leaves me, at least, as if I'm right there

taking it all in.
