After all these years I'm still typing with two fingers.


I watch friends, their fingers flying over the computer keys.

I phoned our son, Nathaniel, asking how he types.

Thinking he'd do it the proper way.


What he said surprised me.

He uses two fingers, adding, "There's no doubt, Dad, I do it one hell of a lot faster than you.

Writer's comment: He's got it right.

Leaving me to think I should have him show me how to type faster.

I'd even pay him to do it.
