HOW SWEET IT IS

Have you ever felt sometimes that everything is going well, and you can only hope it will continue

.

After such a thought, there’s often a downside. It can’t go on forever.

Then again don’t think of it that way; instead take advantage of the moment and keep going.

Something I’ve written here often is those asking me how to write a novel or maybe a screenplay. They tell me they have a great idea, but they don’t know how to get started.

God knows we’ve all been through that stage no matter what you do for a living. You want to try something different, but you’ve been doing some job for some time and you can’t give it up.

Yet there you are unable to give up something you’re sure will set you off on a new track. But, and it’s a big but, you feel comfortable with what you’ve accomplished.

Author’s comment: Investigate what you might accomplish. Write down a few notes from time to time how you might deal with it. It’s surprising what you might come up with.

Over the years I’ve wanted to write a novel about a modern cowboy who finds himself back in the 1880s. I’d add a slight touch of humor. Not enough to disturb the storyline.

Keep at it, if you're so inclined, and I’m sure you’ll find a whole new world out there you never could have imagined. And how sweet that is.
