Are you kidding? King of Canada? We're a sovereign nation according to

Collins English Dictionary & Thesaurus . A supreme Dominion. Which means

we're on our own.

This came to mind when reading letters recently to the Globe and Mail about

The King of England also being the King of Canada.

Tell me, what nonsense is that?

Writer's comment: I thought we'd dropped that bone of contention years ago.

Yet it keeps popping up like a bad dream.

Canada is Canada. No attachments' Period. Let's not forget it.
