WORDS COUNT?

When editing my books or screenplays I’m

sure to I find word or phrase that doesn’t fully

express what I wanted to put across to the reader.

Some character might find themselves

climbing  ‘shaky’  steps upward when I know there

must be a better word to describe it.

I rattle my brain and nothing comes to mind.

Leaving me to pull out my  trusty Collins  English Dictionary & Thesaurus. It’s the latter that comes to my rescue.

Writer’s comment:  I go back to ‘shaky’ steps and replace it with ‘rickety’ steps.  Rickety  gives me the  scary physical feeling how I wanted it to feel.
